Since the last sharing, the Sacred ground of Mother Earth in all her beauty has an out of picture resplendent spectrum of color to appease our inner desires for the sights and sounds of summer.
The violet colors of the crocuses and the lilacs were profuse despite the lack of moisture which I thought would produce a very limited and sparse show of color. Miraculously, I have not been disappointed.
Seeing the World in 4-D
Right from the melting of the snow the grass in my back yard awoke with a beautiful emerald green in every blade, the elm tree has never looked as healthy and vibrant since we moved here 4 years ago, my flowers have all met the summer with profuse and beautiful blooms and color and I have delighted in the incredible colors of a new sky. Have you noticed? Be brave to look even if the lack of rain has washed your palette pale and brown – the outer world needs your attention regardless and your attention can bring the outer world more color.
I have been told – welcome to 4-D. The earth is no longer in 3-D and thus there is a new dimension to the sights and sounds around us and our perceptions may seem heightened. Have you noticed how the light filters through the clouds giving off new colors – the peachy pinks, the violets, the true blues in many shades. Well look closer. If you believe it is so – then you are intune to your outer world. This article is to inspire you to color your world and your life – especially if it is pale, dull and lacking color and shine.
Color as Life Force
It seems like always, we can limit the color in our life – both from an internal perspective and an outer perspective. What are you seeing lately? Is it a pretty dull, boring palette? Are you seeing only what is going wrong and what is losing its’ life force? Look closer – there is always a part of nature that can expand or bloom despite lack – mirroring the power and will to overcome. Welcome now a surge of energy, spark and newness in your being and world with color.
Color has been the subject of much research and there is wonderful documentation of its affects on our cellular structure, brain, nervous system, feelings and the physical body. Color is light and light is nutrition for the human body as it absorbs and draws the subtle energy within its cellular structure. What we may have forgotten is that color is more than just a sensation or wavelength, but is a living intelligence with qualities. Color and sound are the tools of creation – they are the eternal and inherent Cosmic Intelligence that is in all things.
Colors Effects on the Body
When we consciously use colors in our spaces we can reap the benefits both within ourselves and without in our environment. I am going to share with you what I have understood about colors and their qualities and effects on the human body.
In Feng Shui, color is used in conjunction with specific aspects of the Ba-gua. The Ba-gua is an archetypal pattern of universal and personal change. It depicts the movement of energy in the 8 areas of life. The Bagua is superimposed over your space to diagnose what is happening in your world and then used to influence what happens.
Specific colors are aligned to each aspect and you can use this color in your space to the degree you desire. (See bagua). Place the line with the Career aspect over a floor plan of your home, along the wall that has the entrance to your home and then into each room to see where the aspects are located.

Adding Color to Your Sacred Space
These are just a few expressions of the colors. Explore in your own Sacred Space and see which colors you could add to your space to assist personal healing and change in your life. You know sometimes the colors we don’t like are the very ones we need.
I am going through my own personal evolution with color and I am very excited to bring some new hues into my Sacred Space. My inner being has been calling me to do this for sometime and I have been hesitant – you know that “change” thing again. However, I feel ready and my family agrees too, so that will make it easier for all of us.
See how your space evolves with you? It is a wonderful dance – the inner and the outer. Become aware of the colors in your Sacred Space and be honest about what feelings and sensations they give you. Experiment with color to the degree you feel called. You may choose to paint a room, a feature wall, or simply add a new blanket, pillows, colored objects or pictures to integrate a new color into your being and world.
You can even chose to integrate color through the type of food you eat. There are many ways to explore with color and I highly recommend color as a tool to bring change and transformation into your life. Use the ba-gua to see what areas of life you would like to focus on and bring that color into that aspect of your life.
There is so much to write about color, it is hard to know when to stop. Color activates our brain – the visual cortex to be exact and this is the direct route to your imaginal body or imagination. It is exactly your imagination that is required to create your life in a new way. Are you ready to talk about this next time? I hope so.
Blessings, as you journey with color.
